Nitrates are controlled through regular
partial water changes.
The amount and frequency of regular partial
water changes depends upon keeping the nitrate level at 10 ppm or
less ideally, though up to 20-25 ppm may be satisfactory.
Typically, a 25% water change is required
weekly to every other week.
