I’m
Barb…physician by day and fish/frog lover by night! I live in the ever-entertaining
city of Los Angeles, California and am a transplant from Ohio. My critters
include 2 german shepherds, 2 cats (an old tabby and a young sphinx), Betta
splendens, African Dwarf Frog and a 75-gal tank with various rainbowfish and
a lovely school of rummy-nose tetras. My interest within the hobby is fish
disease and I get a thrill out of diagnosing, treating and curing fish illnesses,
as well as, managing emergency fish situations… an ER fish Doc of sorts!
Outside of the hobby, I am passionate about playing the drums!

& I’m
todley, (a female version of the name)... I’m owned by the 4 African
Dwarf Frog residents of Frog Hollow & their tads as well as a few bettas
that wiggle danced their way into my heart. Oh yeah, I have a 15 g. Eclipse
with a school of neons and share 2 beautiful cats with a friend too. I reside
on the West Coast of Canada in the sun and rains of British Columbia where
I can garden most of the year.
I've learned two major things about this hobby:
- The more you learn, the more there is to learn, and
- There are never enough tanks in my place.

I'm Virgil. I live in Central Saskatchewan Canada. I've been keeping and breeding
tropical fish off and on for about 15 years. I'm currently maintaining 16
(soon to be 19) aquariums in a small fish room. I am most interested in keeping
and breeding Characins and Cories, though I often dabble with other species
to keep things interesting. Thus far, I have successfully bred and raised
40 different species of fish. Some of my future goals are to breed and raise
Cardinal Tetras and Harlequin Rasboras, which are proving to be quite a challenge.

I'm
CinderDee (Dee) and I live in New Jersey.
I'm currently keeping Bettas, African Dwarf Frogs, and a freshwater community
tank with Harlequin Rasboras, Otos, Corydoras, and Apple Snails. I also have
2 Crested Geckos, and a wonderful American Pit Bull Terrier named Kato.
I'm passionate about animals and have been involved in rescue for quite a few years. A few of my other interests are photography, the computer, reading, and art.
I'm glad you found us and look forward to meeting up with you on the forum!

Hey
there! I'm Aquila (aka Ash). I'm a Canadian medical student with a passion
for fish. I'm a bettaholic, and yes, I do have that certified on paper! You
can also find me chillin' in the deep end with the goldfish. I am interested
in all areas of aquaria, but like to concentrate in disease identification,
pathology, and treatment. Along with fish, I have some four-legged fuzzy animals
that roam the house. Nice to meet you and see you around the board! Best wishes
to you and your fish!

I'm Kim (aka Special Zipper). I live in Michigan where betting on the weather
is never a sure thing! I have 5 aquariums, ranging from 3 to 50 gallons. I
keep a variety of aquatic life including goldfish, bettas, gouramis, African
Dwarf Frogs, tetras, barbs, danios, loaches, Ghost Shrimp and Apple Snails.
I'd love to get more, but Mom has put a restriction on anything, that requires
food or water, from coming into the house!
I also have one beagle, a cockatiel and two horses. I am proud to have won High Point Champion twice and blue ribbons for my poetry and acrylic paintings in my county! I have had 2 poems published in Poetry Anthologies. I am a junior at the University of Michigan – Flint and I am working towards a double major in philosophy and English, with possibly a minor in Spanish or studio art. I also enjoy reading, writing, painting and drawing. Despite all my hobbies, I always have time to help others with problems, fish or otherwise; or even just to talk!

a Bushy nose Pleco, a Clown Pleco, a Madagascar Cichlid, a Trio of Flower
Shrimp, and I have a Green Spotted Puffer who makes his home in a 45 gallon
Brackish Water tank. I also have a few tropical tree and land frogs.
I enjoy my work in an animal ER, and I'm totally
fascinated by veterinary medicine!!
I'll see you on the Brackish
and Oddities forum!!!
Thanks!

I'm Chelle. I live in a tiny little town in the middle of Missouri!
At times, I've had as many as 6 tanks keeping everything from the standard
community fish (tetras, barbs, gouramis, etc) to african cichlids, oscars,
goldfish, african dwarf frogs, & snails. Recently I have been making an
effort to fight multiple tank syndrom and currently only have a 75 gallon
with an oscar, a pink convict, and 2 blue gouramis, a 55 with some community
fish and baby goldfish that are growing out, a 10 gallon that is growing out
some rainbow snails, and a pond that houses several goldfish. The tanks also
double as entertainment for my 5 cats and 1 dog.
When I'm not sitting around the house watching my crazy fish, I enjoy swing dancing, working on & driving my ‘67 Mustang, playing clarinet and bass clarinet in the local community band and in the pit orchestra for the local community theater, drawing, and photography.

Hiya, I'm JBOT. I live in San Francisco, CA. I have been a frog lover for
as long as I can remember. One Xmas I received a fish tank, and decided to
keep ADFs. After a few very bad beginning mistakes which killed my poor frogs,
I found FnF and they helped me save my new lil' froggy babies. My GF and I
have raised ADF tadpoles to adulthood, and it was a wonderful experience.
Right now I am owned by 4 tanks, 8 frogs, Cherry shrimp, otos, and cories.
I lost many of my frogs to a HORRIBLE fungus called Chytridiomycosis, but
managed to save many by finding a treatment online. If your frog is sick,
please post in our Emergency
Room, or ADF forum.
I'm also a Planted tank dork. The beauty of a really nice planted tank can rival some of the best SW setups, IMHO. Proper balance with Co2, Lighting, and Substrate is the key to success to grow plants well, and keep algae at bay.
When I'm not playing with my critters, I have a rock band made with robots (really!), www.capturedbyrobots.com. I tour the US and Canada, we play everything from Metal to Techno, to old school funk. We even do weddings, as I'm an ordained minister.

Hi!
I'm Mac. I live in the Southeast state of Georgia, about 50 miles south of
Atlanta. My favorite critters are frogs. As a small boy, I must have caught
dozens of toads and bullfrogs in the Summer months. Several years ago, I saw
some ADF's at a mall and was amazed ! I had never heard of aquatic frogs!
That love of frogs returned and I have owned at least one ADF ever since.
I think frogs across the world are an important barometer of how our environment
is doing. I hope I can help ADF owners keep their frogs healthy and happy
for years of enjoyment and companionship. Like JBOT, I am a warrior against
the evil disease known as Chytrid. Learn about it on our website.
When I'm not tending froggies, I enjoy photography, dabbling in auto repair, and PC repair. I like to make pictures of outdoor scenes and any stray critters that come to visit, like newts and lizards (and land frogs). I'm a computer network administrator by trade, but I like to escape PC's, faxes, and cell phones whenever I can.

Hi, I'm Silver (aka Nicole), and I reside in Michigan. I am currently attending
Michigan State University as part of the Zoo and Aquarium Science program.
I want to be a zookeeper when I graduate school. I enjoy reading (lots!),
drawing, Cirque du Soleil, Disney (especially Lion King!), David Bowie, pet
houseplants, and, of course, animals.
I am owned by two goldfish (Sam and La Puce),
two African Clawed frogs (Brobbers and Desmosthenes- my babies!), a school
of leopard danios, an ADF, a female betta, and Felix, my New Caledonian Crested
Gecko. One of my proudest moments in the aquarium-keeping hobby has been raising
37 African Clawed frogs all the way from egg to full-formed frogs! ![]()

Hi,
I'm Murfins, aka Alyssa. I live in Southern Alberta with my husband, 3 dogs,
4 cats and a couple dozen fish tanks. We keep everything from Bettas to large
New World Cichlids to ADFs and Corys - just to name a few.. I'm a major animal
lover and am involved in rescue and have a special passion for helping Bully
breeds, especially those affected by BSL and for educating about the desperate
need to spay/neuter, adopt shelter/rescue animals and overall pet responsibility.
I look forward to learning and sharing with you on the boards!

Hi. I’m “tetralina”. When I was a young girl I kept fish
and was fascinated with their fishy activities, beauty, and grace. About 4.5
years ago, after fishlessly cycling a 10 gallon tank, I once again dove into
fishkeeping waters by bringing home a bright blue male betta named “Sir
Blue Bubbles, Esq.” I now have three tanks (90, 30, and 20 gallon) and
three huge, beautiful common sailfin plecos, a school of corys, a wee bristlenose
pleco, 8 jewel cichlid adults and, last but not least, two giant, very intelligent
oscars who can’t get enough of playing games of “rocks”
whereby they constantly interrupt all TV programs with their loud “rock
against glass” activities! The oscars have outgrown the 90 gallon (did
I mention they are huge?) so I am in the process of upgrading to a larger
210 gallon tank. I am glad you found the site and are enjoying exploring the
world of information about good fish husbandry that is now available . . .
your fish will love you for it!
Keeping fish has brought me a tremendous amount of joy and entertainment. They have taught me that even the smallest creatures have distinct personalities, intelligence, social structures, and deserve both our respect and good stewardship of the natural environment in which we all live.

My name is Mike, but please call me Cy. I live in SW Michigan, and I recently
graduated from college with a degree in computer networking. I enjoy saltwater
fish, and watching as a single coral polyp grows into a beautiful colony.
Being a college student, I have been known to be quite resourceful and love
DIY projects. Along with my Reef, I also have an 8 year old dachshund, and
a 4 year old half siamese kitty that I raised from one week old. When not
in front of a computer or my tank, I can be found racing vintage autos, mountain
biking, hanging out at the beach, or doing my best William Hung impression
at the kareoke bar!

I'm Luke. I live here in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. My main interest in fish
are with goldfish, so you may see me a lot on the goldfish board, but I love
all types of fish and animals. Besides my goldfish, I have a betta, an african
dwarf frog, some endlers livebearers, and even a hamster. I don't have many
specific interests besides fish, but I am still young and that will change
I'm sure. Anyway, I hope to talk with you all on the board in the near future.
